Blog #14

For essay #3 I'm going to use my write about my claddagh ring.

It's going to be set into 3 or 4 segments based on places. (Wildwood/Cape May NJ, New Haven CT, Ireland, and possibly home.)

From this ring, I'm going to discuss relationships and heritage (to an extent)

ummm yeah I don't know what else to write for this post. I know the basic outline of my essay and where I think I want it to go, but that might change once I sit down and start writing. I only got to the first 2 sentences so far hahaha It's been a long day...

I think this is a really great concept. I was also thinking about writing about a particular piece of jewelry because they can really tell a story all by themselves. I think this will be a great segmented essay like you said. A claddagh ring is definitely a symbol of heritage and personally, I don't really know much about them. I think through the experiences that you may discuss in your essay, you can teach people like me about the importance of such a piece of jewelry. I think your concept is very interesting and your essay will be a great read.

I know about these types of rings and i have actually have experince with them. The ring is a definite symbol of heritage. I think you should talk about whne you got the ring from who and things of that nature. Since i know about the ring already it will be great to see how some one else see this symbol. I think your essay is going to rock, good lukc with it

Wow. From Cape May, NJ to Ireland...that's an interesting dichotomy. To have one item remain the degree of separation between several different places is interesting. Breaking the ring down into 4 locations would sound amazing, as well as linking a piece of heritage in each location as well.
