definition of creative non fiction

From what I've gathered, it seems that creative non fiction is:
  • writing based upon personal experience, but perhaps enhanced in some ways
  • covers a multitude of topics
  • has some emotional connection to the author
  • can be similar to fiction writing
  • is descriptive

Great list. I think you really got to the heart of it here. Hopefully today's discussion in class will fill out the details of what kinds of experiences, what kinds of forms, how the emotion works in, which features from fiction writing and so on. Hope you liked the readings - sorry about the missing page in BEard. I will be passing out the whole essay in class.
